Plan a day trip to KL!

Asalamualaikum and hi Madre lovers!

Yay syukur alhamdulillah, Malaysia finally entered the recovery phase, after MCO, RMCO and now Recovery MCO. This would have not happened without our frontliners and responsible citizens! Good job everyone.

However please remember that our war isn’t over yet, we still need to be aware as the virus is still out there.

As our government has loosened the restriction orders like allow interstate travels, which means, you can ‘balik kampung’ and visit your family!
Please note do not go out unescarrily and stay at home if you are unwell.

As for those who do not have hometown, you may plan a day trip to the city, take this opportunity to support economic growth after MCO.
So here’s some suggestion for your one day exploring the city!

ALI, MUTHU & AH HOCK

Start your day with breakfast, of course! But if you’re late for breakfast, there’s always a time for brunch! If you love or craving for local foods, get your cravings satisfied at Ali, Muthu and Ah Hock! Their kopitiam is located at nearby Petaling Street, there are few other branch in PJ, Publika, Bangsar South and Oasis SQ.

Chee cheong fun, nasi lemak, curry and roti baker! Perfect to get you local cravings fixed! Look at that, so tempting!

Merchant’s Lane

There’s also a famous cafe nearby Petaling Street, PERFECT for brunch too! Go and have your brunch at Merchant’s Lane, if you’re a fan of western food for breakfast, then Merchant’s Lane is the best place for your breakfast or brunch.

Central Market (Pasar Seni)

After breakfast or brunch, go and stroll around Petaling Street then to Central Market (Pasar Seni), you can shop souvenirs or local crafts. Come on, let’s support our local crafts and arts, it’s our responsibilities to help the economic growth especially after the MCO period.

Masjid Jamek

From Central Market, take a LRT ride and head up to Masjid Jamek, the oldest Islamic place in Kuala Lumpur. Go for an evening walk around Masjid Jamek to Sultan Abdul Samad building and act like a local tourist! Because there’s nothing wrong being a tourist in our own country right? Then you can walk to the kind of new attraction nearby those buildings, the river of live. It is so pretty and calming at night, surrounded my the historical buildings and fountain shows.
